Adventure 1. WINE TASTING

US$260 for 2 - 10 people.


Argentina is famous for its fantastic wines. The country offers every climatic zone producing distinct regional signatures and wonderful grape varieties in an abundance that is hard to do justice to in a short holiday. A great way to sample the best of Argentine Wine is to take a journey around the wine regions with our expert sommelier in his cellar in Buenos Aires.

 

Adventure 2. MATADEROS

Sundays. US$30 per person. Min 2.


Hop in Monty and we’ll take you to the furthest margin of the city to show you what a traditional market is like here in Buenos Aires. Mataderos holds a colourful street market with local food, crafts, folk music, dancing and gaucho games. A great place to buy souvenirs at a fraction of the price of Palermo or San Telmo. We’ll take you to dance with the gauchos and act as your guides around this hard to find barrio.

 

Monty, our 1983 VW Kombi, has safely taken us 14,000km around Argentina. Now he is off on his travels again offering you a chance to sample some of his Magic Moments in Buenos Aires.

 

Adventure 3. Match of the Day

Tickets from $200 pesos each.



No trip to Buenos Aires is complete without going to a football match. The passion, the lunacy and the talent are without equal. Jump in Monty and we shall take you to the Match of the Day. We visit stadiums in Buenos Aires and out into the Province. Prices vary depending on location and availability of tickets. A must do even for non sports fans.

Adventure 4. HOMEMADE BBQ

US$40 per person. Min 2.


For the truly carnivorous, this will show you why Argentine meat is world famous. Come with us to the butcher (if you like) and learn the difference in the cuts of meat. Learn how to prepare the fire and the beef to produce a tender, juicy and mouth-watering meal. Try your hand as the Asador and sample a whole selection of cuts that you are unlikely to find in a restaurant. You can eat and drink to your hearts content.

 

 Adventure 5. TANGO

US$55 per class - max 3 people

 

 Would you like to learn to Tango on a rooftop in Buenos Aires? Gustavo and Jorgelina offer exclusive lessons here at Abode. They are both incredibly skilled Tangueros and one of the warmest couples you will meet whilst here in Argentina. They have produced and performed in various tango videos including with modern tango groups such as Bajofondo and Tanghetto.
