About Us
Abode began after David and Zoe realised their dream of moving to Argentina. The house was bought as a family home that had been lived in by 3 generations of the same family for more than 20 years. This means the house still has all the best features of a 'porteno' home.
David lived in Buenos Aires between 1995 and 1998 whilst teaching in a private English institute. During this time he fell in love with the city and the warmth of its people. A few years back in Europe he met Zoe at a wedding in England and David looked for a way to return to Argentina.
Zoe at the time was working in Moscow as a political journalist. The warmth of the people and the fantastic sunshine made it pretty easy to convince her to make the move in 2007.
Argentina's booming hospitality industry has provided the perfect way for David and Zoe to make the most of their passion for Buenos Aires. Along with our beautiful, and very chilled out dog Syri, our aim is to ensure you'll get more than a great value bed in Buenos Aires.
